just wann know if the advanced timing sensor on the 19 16v would be worth swaping over to the clio 1.4 8v? if it will go on and make a differace ill try it. also what about the low temp fan switch and the low temp thermostat?
also while im here, some of the switch gear lights in the clio dont wanna work although ive chyanged the bulbs and checked the fuse's its the clock light and the lights behind the tempreture controls, like the blowers.

and one more question while im here i filled the tank up with 35quids worth of fuel, thats a full tank, anyway i got 250mile sout of i with normalish driveing, do you recon its about rite?
cheers

no to everything

sensor does nothing

the stats different

low temp fan switch will fit but again useless

instead of twisting the bulbs all the way twist em halfway, usually works.

Not really, for 35 quid I would be expecting at least 300 miles in the 16V never mind a 1.4 rt.

its running fine tho, well its starts fine idles fine and is v.quick for a 1.4 8v, if it is overfulein what tests can be done as is this possibley why if failed its mot on emissions cos its kicking out too much un burnt fuel?
also ive cleaned the lamada sensor sicnce the mot, hasn't made fuck all differace but i thought id start there.
cheers

Check ya spark plugs..if there like a.. black dry "fluffy" (only word i cud think of) colour.

its a sign that the cars air/fuel mix is to rich.

running rich makes the exhaust smell sweet, like a lawnmower engine.

But look at the plugs etc do you have a printout of the emmisions yet?

im gonna get a new mot soon, as it needs it, then if it fails again on the emissions then i let you know bud,
have'nt had a chance to look at the plug's.
