packed all my stuff into the car to go back to hertfordshire this evening and the poxy thing wouldnt start. Turns over fine, plenty of fuel - i could smell it, but no spark it seems. Was dark so i couldnt really do much with it. Have to sort it tomorrow.

I started cursing the fact that i have another complete car back in herfordshire, but then i remembered, that car has the same problem...

Dont even know where the good scrappies are around here FFS

its just flooded. When its cold it needs to start straight away or it just floods and will take forever to clear it. Jam the throttle open for a few hours to let the fuel evapourate then try it again.

Or dissconnect the injectors and crank it over, should start and run for a few secs, will keep doing so iuntil the manifolds dry.

CAS is obviosuly working if it wasn't no fuel would have been delivered.

cheers, will do that.

all the plugs are sparking fine, and it wets them too.

Ill leave the throttle open and bake the plugs for a bit. when i try it again ill disconnect the cold start injector.

bake the plugs? Use a lighter on them, petrol gone. If you have no lighter light the GAS cooker and use that.

Had a major drama with the orion when my sister repeadidly tried to start it, took abotu 2 hours of all sorts to get it going.

The white chammy when I 1st got it flooded the inlet manifold until it poured out of the throttle butterfly, with the injectors dissconnected it ran for a minute or so on the petrol in the manifold!
