hi, first post so be gentle! i got a phase 2 clio 16v and i have a fairly meaty sound system. ive heard its worth upgrading all the earthing point to the battery, does anyone know where all earth cables go, cus as most of you probably know its all a pretty tight fit under the bonnet and cant really see much! any help appriciated.

not 100% but usually there are between the gearbox and inner wing and another between back of head and bulkhead...just have a look around...the gearbox one is usually a braided metal strap, but others could be just chunky wire...

also you could add another from engine, say rocker cover, direct to the -ve terminal on the battery for improved earthing....

read my tech article in the ice/electrical forum!

Anyway get another earth braid from the negative terminal to the shell. Its a pretty wimpy effort also if you have the screwdowns which will be the newer style to those in the tech article picture bin them.

You have the braid from the inner wing to the gearbox so make sure thats decent. Also ontop of the gearbox you have an earth cable, make sure its clean and tight, this is where the ECU, alt etc earths to!
