I need a bit of help, my interior door handle came off in my hand the other day and I'm trying to get it fixed. I've made enquiries with a Renault dealer and they basically want to charge me £6 for the part and a further £25 for labour. This seems a bit expensive for something which I'm sure is just a 5 minute job.

I wondered if anyone on here could either explain to me (or direct me to a link on the internet which explains) exactly what I'll need to do to fit it, and in particular attach the mechanism behind the handle to it.

Thanks

the handle itself is about 6 quid.

Its held to the car by a single T30 screw, unscrew it then pull the front of it out.

Its connected to either a rod or cable, a W reg would lead me to think its the older metal rod type, so pull it away slighty then rotate it through 90 degrees and it comes away.

Thanks for that I'll give it a go later, it seems silly to let them charge me so much for something so small.

if theres no cable or wire visible thru the apperture after removing the handle it may have come away from its plastic clip behind the door card and fallen down which prollymeans removing the card to get to it.
