Hi
I am not to sure if I have posted this in the right forum ! Sorry if I have not
Ok here is my problem, I took my 1996 Megane for it's annual Mot today ok that's not a big deal, Happens to someone eveyday , After an hour whent back to se how she faired, well she failed on a few things ball joint ect,
Thats not to bad , now here is the bad news it failed on the V.I.N plate yep the piece of plastic coated paper thaet sits on the offside door frame !!!!. Well that was a bit of shock but as you can guess ther is more , As far as was told Renault only
Phoned them Um got to come from france takes up to eight weeks and for this piece of platstick, thats all it is a cool £90.00 well i fell to the floor
Is this the only option available to me or can you suggest somewhere else , the car is fully legit I have the V5 insurance road tax AA membership etc ,any Ideas |

"Well" how mean is that . I would try taking it somewhere else first m8 . After you've repaired the other faults....... Then try and get it replaced for next time............ Eight weeks off the road, "ouch" . |

well technically they are right to fail you.
But they should be ok if they just take the chassis number which is what they are meant to do. This is on the driver suspension turret.
I'm pretty sure you could get a sticker elsewhere and put the numbers in |
