Some interesting pics I've found on various sites...
The above is a pic of the 19S, which no one seems to believe exists!
Feel free to add more interesting pics as you see fit...

Just get the bonnet off a Prima or GTS-X.... I don't like the vent myself, completely superfluous .... |

thought it was to let some heat out when stationary...
it is bad design as far as scoop shaped...when u really want it facing the other way so when moving the air can go in the front and stream out the vent taking heat with it...as it is it must kinda get trapped in there being blown from both ends...

Yes, only valvers in the UK came with the bonnet vent. It was actually designed as an intake to cool, not for stationary cooling but I suppose it does that anyway. |

yeah glad it does cos the paint around my vent area is crazing a bit which i reckon is due to the heat comin off the manifold lurking below,,,maybe its just mine tho...but without it im sure it would be worse...still i quite like the look...
hey you know you can buy r19 p2 style vents to stick on any car...did renault actually design this vent in the first place?? or did they just rob it from somewhere else and stick it on? |

the 19 16s is the French version of the 16v. They're very similar: the S stands for soupape, which is French for Valve. Think the absence of bonnet vent is the only difference (Apart from being LHD obviously).
The vent's coming off mine as soon as I can find a cheap bonnet |
