fuel consumption.help i think i am only getting around 15 miles per gallon,around town. i have a reno 19 16v 1992 k reg 3 door,what should it be??thanks ice. |

more than that anyway!
A good place to start is the coolant temp sender, do a search. They corrode and make the car overfual and give allsorts of weird problems.
Should be in the 20's round town and in the 40's on the motorway. |

cool, another southender, i've noticed a few valvers popping up around southend last couple of months, 3 of them in my Street and another just round the corner. |

hi ice here since monday i've used 2.2g and covered 14.9 miles,in money i,m sure that works out to be roughly £8.00 thats good aint it??? thats very short journeys to and from work in 5 days. |

Erm.
14.9 / 2.2 = 6.77 miles per gallon, not exactly brilliant really is it, unless you're driving a sherman tank... |

short journeys like your 1.5 mile drive to work will not be doing the car any good at all. This is why its drinking petrol also the oil will be getting contaminated very quickly.
Either walk, get the bus or take the 20 mile scenic route to work everyday. |
