the light which comes on when you open the door does not come on anymore when i open the drivers door.i am sure it was allright a few days ago . i am sure this is an easy thing to fix if i mess with the switch operated by the door a bit.
any clues and tips before i do anything please.
ps:yes the bulb is working cause i can put the light on from the switch by the roof.

Need a new switch.
I had this prob. When i got the car it didn't work, so i didn't think it had that feature. Then a mate said about it, when he saw the switch and i thought about it.
Lights on buzzer shouldn't work either.
New switch from Renault is about £4-5 each.
I got 4. Replaced the 2 front ones and added in the back ones. |

2 types of switch. the grey rubber nipple one will just need claened.
The grey rubber one with the black plastic pokey out bit will need replaced usually. But sometimes a soakign in carb cleaner and shake will clean the crap out. Cillit bang may do a good job on it. |

do you just prise them swithces out with a screw driver chris ? are they connected to any cables or in contact with another metal/spring ? |

yes they are connected to wires. And yes you very carefully pop them out with a screwdriver. |
