hi there,
ive got a problem, i bought the valver earlier in the year as i had just finished school and wanted a road car for when i was 17, i bought it with a snapped cambelt.got the head off, the did the valves etc etc. right...now i cant get the exhaust pipe back on the manifold, it just doesnt wanna go, i will just catch 1 nut, spring and washer on oneside, then, to get the otherside on, i was using a 2 tonne jack and a bar to lift on the otherside enough so that i could catch on that side, but it lifts the car off the axle stands, and stil isnt enough to catch the bolt on!!
is there a technique of getting it right or what??
any help much appreciated as its getting near to my 17th and i want it done by then!!

Your obviously doing something wrong!

Get the pipe to mate up to the manifold conical gasket. Use the jack to hold it there. Slide the sleeve up then put the springs on, the nust should catch plenty to do the job.

what does it matter about his insurance? Its his car, his money, his policy.
