Can these only be got from renault or do factors carry them too? How much would a renault one be?
Long shot now, but can anyone provide me with an autoCAD drawing of the gasket or manifold face? |

77 00 114 234 SEAL C2 5.07 ---3 x 1
thats the renault price for the gasket.
Facotors should be able to but the ren price is quite good.
And nope, no CAD drawing, if you get one let me have it though. |

speak to a guy on coupe club called stewart, hes put a 172 lump into a megane coupe. meganes have the same front end as the 19, so exhaust manifold issues he shud be able to help ya with.

Hmmm, been reading his posts/threads, looks like he's a chequebook modder and just paid prima or someone to do it for him. Don't suppose i'll be able to get anything useful out of him, but i'll ask anyway. |

I rang Renault today to order the gasket in, £6.50, not bad.
Was a bit of a chore though, he wanted a reg number or chassis number etc.
"I havent got a number"
"you need to get one"
"Its just a 172 exhaust gasket"
"i need a reg number, there are different types"
"Im sure theyre all the same but any of them will do"
"I need a reg or chassis number otherwise I cant order it"
"I dont have a clio, just an engine...cant you just use the reg number of one of the clios in your showroom?"
eventually I got him to order it for me.
Hard work are Renault dealers. |

Hmmm, Ben R says the 172 and 182 have different exhaust ports, good job i ordered the 172 gasket (i think), since i'll be getting a 172 engine instead of a 182 |

OK Stewart off coupe-club says that his car is running not only the OE clio manifold, but the OE ECU as well.
How the manifold fits in I dont know, I've asked him for pics.
Is the megane shell/subframe more similar to the Clio than the 19 in the exhaust manifold area? Chris mentioned that the 2 litre megane uses a dogbone like the clio. I am aware that the clio 16v has a lot more space down there than the 19... |

yes theres more room at the back of the megane engine than the 19.
The scuttle is a lot thinner like the clios on the megane.
I would take some pics of the green one but shes away in it, if your really nice simon might be down tomorrow and I can take pics of his 2l cab. |
