took the red one (project Y) for its test

Failed

N/S rack gaiter split during the test (typical!)
N/S wheel cyl leak at the union.

I replace that wheel cyl obviously never nipped it up enough. I will take a rack gaiter from the rack out the back and stick it on so it will hopefully pass in a short while. I am also gonna get the 16V back box welded up.

They were well impressed with the car as theres no rust at all on it, he was especially eager with the hammer under the car, but it was solid. The brakes are also now perfect, in perfect balance as well.

Damn I'm good.

Need to go sort out another car and go to the scrappies again though.

Aye it is indeed. I really like the car now. It makes you drive faster than you do in the 16V, I have no idea why it just does!

But its passed, needs taxed then my mums gonna have it.

I need to tidy up the orion a bit more then sell it.

You won the war with the rear engine mount yet?

The red one - faster than a valver? Are all those 60 "raging horses" it has triple-strength or sommets? Very Happy

Cheers peeps Cool good it passed but it was expected from me wasn't it! lol

I just have to stick in the drivers door speaker which I will do in a minute and then I'll stick the new/old front mount from the chamade onto it and flush the cooling systems a coupel more times and then its ready for big miles. Although I will at some point swap the subframes over so as to gain an ARB and a healthier frame.

The rear mounts in the chamade but the engine isn't...
