Took a visit to Old Lawers Village yesterday, on the banks of Loch Tay.
As you can see the place has been abandoned for a long time and is known to have been occupied in the 15th Cenury so it's pretty old.
Loads of remains of buildings around over a reasonable area so took a wonder around and took piccys, did a bit of photoshopping to get some atmosphere!

Thanks for the complimens on the photos guys! - that 4th one was a very quick photoshop to give it some atmosphere could make it better if i spent more time - but I'm more of a film man myself.
Do quite a bit of photography (as a hobby) - was well pissed off as my I forgot to put new batterys in my good old 35mm SLR before we went up so these were taken with my mates digital camera.
Will be going back with mine to take some black and whites at some point as well as searching out some more places, not done much photography in recent years so my new years resolution was to get back into it this year - was thinking of setting up a website and trying to sell some prints at some point. |

That Black and white photo looks like it could be from the cover of an Ian Rankin novel! |

Do it! you never know! He is a superb author I have read all but two of his books. I feel like I know all the pubs in Edinburgh, but I have never been to Scotland! |

You never know do you?
I love his books as well, especially as I know the places he's talking about, St. Leonards Police station is just up the road from me, been to the Oxford Bar a few times, in one of the older books Rebus goes into the Petrol Station I used to work in while I was a student!
They are very well researched. |
