Isn't it annoying when you get the wrong part? It delays thinsg and is a minor irritant.
Its even worse when its caused by your own stupidity!
As we all know the laguna has a dodgy heater matrix pipe, this is quite an involved affair and with VAT its 70quid from renault. So I saunter to the scrappy.
I removed this
from a laguna, it put up a mighty fight I add. It came from a 1.8 RN SPI model. Looked the same so i thought yeah it'll fit. It also had a mint condiction bleed scrrw which is where they go.
So got home and chucked it in the bath and flushed it, full of crap.
I had thought when I was at the scrappies it may not be the same. So i just checked dialogies.
What I have is 7700417717, what I need is 7700838037. This pipe will not fit and has a couple extra bits of pipe.
I am not amused.
from the scrappy I got a duff horn, it works but sounds like a duck farting, orion trim panel (in the 1st pic), laguna handbook and a Spare MAP sensor. Fiver was the cost.
Pissed off about this hose though. If anyone needs it I'm open to offers! |

I know of not one other person that would get away with doing that in a bath |

a decent sized range oven is great for heating the head up to remove/fit valve guides. Its also good for heating split casting up to weld.
Washing machines are great for wiring looms and HT leads. |

washing machines not bad, I did however stick a very oily engine loom in and it marked the door seal, never came out.
Its not to noisy really. It removes all the tape etc so you need to re-tape but it comes out spanking.
A 90 degree wash of HT leads makes them supple again. |
