 laguna bonnet catch

the bonnet catch on my laguna is very stiff(oh er missus)
afraid of snapping
any ideas how to losen it?
i have already greased the bonnet end

The cable is very long.

Assuming you have a right hand drive car the catch is under the steering wheel then runs over the passenger side opf the car then round the front to the grille. It goes through 4 90 degree bends.

My sisters lagunas catch is starting to get stiff and I have greased it but its not helped. There have been a few round here that have snapped and I have had to helkp open them. Its not an easy job.

and on some its seperate cablet between the 2 catches and on others its a single cable with the extra bit crimped on.

I am too kind, well I need to check as well.

Anyway

main cable from the handle to the 1st latch is

77 00 823 832 CABLE B/RELEASE 16.85 ---3 x 1

the smaller cable joining the 2 latches

77 00 824 345 CABLE BONNET LOCK 3.97 ---3 x 1

like my above post said £16.85 for the long one and £3.97 for the short one, you need to add VAT on top though.

nah just make sure they are well lubed.
