The heating isnt working in my car, I have read the topics on here about squeezing the pipes, and i went along a two rubbery pipes leading into the passenger side. but while i was doing these pipes i noticed where another lead crosses over the top of them, one of the pipes had started to melt onto this lead. the lead is heat shielded so it must be the heat of the rubber not the other lead. am i right in saying this is a cause for concern?

maybe but I have no idead what lead your talkign about? is it the coil HT lead? It goes from the ignition module on the passenger side near the bulkhead then over to the dizzy cap on the engine in the middle?

speedo cables miles away from the rad fan mate. the throttle cable on the 16V 19 however runs close which is what you are probably thinking about.
