After reading the tech in fo on ignition systems, i have decided to change my plugs.
I have a R19 1.4 energy GTS.
Can i get the NGK that are recommended, or are they only for 16v??
Also, what can i do to get that little extra pulling power.
I have been told that a straight through exhaust will help. I can't seem to find one for a 1.4, only 16v's.
What about air intake?? I have been told to leave the original airbox as is, it is the best option??
Any ideas to make her a bit quicker, all ideas welcome and appricited.
Cheers

Keep the original air box. If you go to your local halford they will have a list of plugs for the 1.4, try and get NGK single electrodes.
Bit more pulling power? Hammer through your can and give your TB a clean... |

BCPR5ES NGK plugs are what you want for the energy. About a tenner from halfords cheaper from a factors. I got a set the other week for just over 7 quid trade at the factors though.
Clean out the breather pipes and clean the carb. Maybe a quick strip down of the carb will help if theres crap in it. If you don't want to go thatr far just a clean with carb cleaner and a toothbrush will help. |
