seen a copule of these on e-bay, anyone know of them?
they require an exchange unit, seems odd, whats to say they are not just sticking in these +20bhp mod (resistor) in an ECU and sending it back?
i've e-mailed them with no answer as of yet.

Okay my dear fellows, as for resistor. no. I am re chipping these ECU units correctlly. As for excange units, to keep cost down. As for shite I built and ran the cars that won the 5 GT cup 3 years in a row. My cars also won the Clio cup. As for e mail, as of time of this posting I have had nothing from any boy racers. Please do not think that everone who advertise on ebay are dishonest. Bye.

Fair dos I say, but it is very hard to tell the people who are exploiting the clueless chavs from those like you who have a genuine product to sell.

cool only wondered, sent e-mail via ebay. maybe you didn't recieve it. do you have any specs for the chip i.e proven performance output etc? just looked suspicious therefore i wanted to see if anyone else had tried them.
and to be fair your feedback doesn't give much away.
thanks

Proven performance on the race track. As for feedback, I have only just started to put these up for sale the last couple of weeks. They have been in the workshop for a few years and it is about time the general public had a chance to try them. I think it is doing people like you guys a favour when the likes of Superchip are charging £300+ for a (dare I say it?) less proven product.

well only stupid people go and buy superchips. But as for the guarenteed power increase. Thats just plain lies my good man.

I am sure you will agree if you do know what you claim to that any off the shelf post it back chip is not very good. After all how can it be...

Also blow the rest inbto the weeds, lets say at best you get a 5bhp gain (with a 10mpg reduction no doubt) thats hardly gonna blow the dust from the pipe never mind others into the weeds is it.

Well I bow to your superior knowlege. But I will say that when something is race proven there is nothing better. End of story. Everone that has had one so far is very very happy.

Also as far as "off the shelf" goes, Sodemo France are no mugs. Please dont go gobbing off about something that you have had bugger all to do with!!!

Did sodemo build my engine? no
will their chips do anything beneficial to my car? Doubtfull.
Do off the shelf chips usually cause serious problems? Yes

How am I gobbing off? By stating simple fact?

Who do you work for? Must be some pretty top end company. You must be a multi millionairre with your clear knowledge of other peoples cars and engines etc.

However Sodemo did remap these eeproms. And again they are no mugs. As for shillings, I am not doing too bad thank you. It does appear as though you are getting a little hot under the collar about this. You have perhaps been ripping these poor Renault folk off for some time.

I am not getting bothered about it this amuses me.

Yes you got me, my rip off strategy is now out in the open.

The simple fact is no off the shelf chip gives any engine the best aside from the original engine that was used to map it which itself may have been sub par.

Also what rolling road did you use to go off the scal with 150bhp? A hamster wheel?

Nikip, just to prove your point why don't you submit one of these chips for testing? i.e let Chris give it a go (although he'd probably rather not by the sound of things) just loan an ECU to one of the Retro Renault members, they can run a test and report if it goes well (which you seem sure of) you will have great feedback and proven results, what have you got to loose?
all other manufacturers are happy for their prducts to go through testing why not subject yours? i know you say that it's race proven but how are we to know who developed which part and if you are that person, for all you know i could've developed the exhaust system for pro-drive rally winning scooby! it's just the crap you need to do to prove you product. Part of sales unfortunatley or we'd all be flogging ice to eskimo's!
