oh woe is me, i was DJing tonight in london, I am on tottenham court road and suddenly the clutch pedal has no pressure!
Nope not the clutch gone neither the cable, the stupid plastic bracket that holds the cable in has snapped in 2 so the cable has come out and nothing to reattach it to.
How easy is it to change out the clutch pedal and has anyone got one for sale?
(i got the car to the club using the tried and tested no clutch way, start her up in first then change gear according to engine speed, played my set, left afterwards and then drove the car home clutchless thru the centre of london and 50 miles home. Pissed a few ppl off but tough lol)
Cheers. |

£23 now from renault and they have one in stock
off to go get it now (thank god for my phase 1 still being fully working)
So list of jobs for this weekend, change clutch pedal, change gearbox oil (checked that last night too and it's a horrible mayo color, kinda like i would expect engine oil to look like after a blown head gasket) and clean up that sensor mentioned in the other thread.
Bring on the warmer weather so that i may actually enjoy working on the car lol.
Thanks again Chris. |

problem? only kidding about mate!
in fact, i didnt know there actually are 2 different types of pedal, thought phase 1 + 2 were idetical in the clutch pedal department, hence the intended joke! |

aye it was modified slightly to reduce the angle the cable is pulled through. Prevent the cables snapping where they exit the bulkhead. |

Just took a look and my phase 1 still has the original old style clutch pedal on it and looks to be in perfect condition.
The only problems i've had with the phase 1 is the diff circlip and a hot start problem which reminds me i still need to change the CTS on it.
The phase 2 since i've had it (about 2 months now) i've had to change out the cambelt tensioner pully (did cambelt and the other pully at the same time) the weird engine cutting out at over 6500rpm which i shall be checking the sensor out this weekend and now this clutch pedal going.
part number by the way for the clutch pedal is 77 01 467 632
and it was £22.87 incl VAT |
