Still cant seem to find the oil pressure sensor even though Chris H sent me a pic of it on a removed engine, when in-situ on a clio 16v it seems impossible to get to. Its not working you see and its annoying the hell out of me! Help please.

well its easier to get to on a clio than a 19. Take the wheel off and look through the wheel arch, its right there behind the cambelt cover.

Ahh.. didnt think of coming from that direction, thanks once again, can it be removed for cleaning without losing loads of oil and will cleaning help as it worked until recently.

its most likely the leccy spade terminal thats loose.

But they do get full of crap and m,ess around. Mine waves about on the motorway after a while.

When you take it out all the galleries above the pump will empty via the hold so yes there will be a fair bit of poil pouring out of it. Although if that car has sat for a week or so there will be less.

Ive got to the back of the gauge and all is firmly connected there so Im guessing it has to be a prob at engine end.

Dont suppose you have a pic of the sensor when out, curios as to what/ how it works

just sender, theres a hole in the end where it screws in, this pushes a diagphram wich alters the voltage output.

The hole clogs and problems occur. Also the electrics wear and again problems occur.
