The 3 years for one of my endorsements is up soon so i phoned the DVLA to confirm it's from date of offence rather than conviction, yep from offence for speeding, great they come off next month! so i said thats my 3 years up, I was told that they no longer exist in the eyes of the law but it's 4 years before you can remove them from your license! what is the point! so as far as the law is concerned i've not got them but they are still on my license? and it can't be for insurance proof as they ask for last 5 years details of endorsements!
I then looked at the web site and discovered it will cost me £19 to have an endorsement removed! so why have it removed if it doesn't count in the eyes of the law and it costs you £19 + recorded delivery etc. where do the DVLA get off!
Rant over!! |
