its been a year since we (Amber/thewonderfulme and myself) moved into the flat and still we get letters for the previous tennants. From what the neighbours say they were not the most pleasant of people either.
Anyway got a letter from Moorcraft Debt Recovery Limited through today. Basically it says the 'local representative' will be calling at our flat to establish a payment scheme.
They kindly have a website, so I have written this retort.
The above named no longer lives at this address. I along with my partner moved into this address last April. I have no idea where she is but I have been led to believe she is still living near by. I suggest you get in touch with Paisley South Housing assoc to find out her current address. If your 'local representative' approaches my door I will make it clear they are not welcome and that they are harrassing me. I have included my e-mail address and I trust you will respond to this to assure me that this correspondance was recieved and that I shall no longer be receiving letters from your company in regards to this matter. Thankyou.
When I hit enter it requested my phone number to which I put N/A. After that a thankyou screen came up and apprently a customer service team member will be in touch shortly.
Whats the bets I still get some arse at the door thats going to have to fall down the stairs... |

yeah we still get letters for loads of previous people living here. got one the other day demanding repayment of an £8,000 or so debt. Was addressed to some foreign name so probably someone racked up a load of debts and left the country.
Weve also had a guy come round to collect from another previous tennant, had a long chat with him, was very interesting to hear some of the stuff he told us! |

In our first house we had an ex-council jobbie, used to get loads of letters through from debt recovery agents. The last straw was when I was working nights one day and at 10:00am had a knock at the door, woke up thinking they would go away laid in bed, they knocked for 5 minutes so I got dressed, went down stairs and opened the door. There was a bloke there saying we owed £3000 on a loan that was outstanding blah blah blah. Told him the people didnt live here anymore etc etc, showed him ID, he didnt believe me and he got all mouthy As I had been on nights as was bloody tired I got really pissed off and I started saying things like, F-OFF, monkey boy you no necked prick. ended up having a punchup on my door step. Managed to get him to piss off. But that was the last straw, moved house about 6 months later. |
