I've used this stuff for years on my Catipillar boots and other shoes/trainers to waterproof them.
The car roof (cabriolet) was loosing some of it's proofing as it's a couple of years old now. You can use products such as Renevo, which are specifically for cabriolet roof or Auto glym roof cleaning kit both costing £20+;or you can as i did at the weekend go into Wilkinsons (or similar) and purcahse some fabric suede protector. This cost me £1.50 a can. after a good scrub with some Meguiars soft wash i let it dry and applied the Protector. It works great at a fraction of the cost, come out yesterday morning and found water in globules (sp) on the roof not soaking in!
Long story short use fabric protector on cabriolet roofs as a waterproofer!! |
