getting ripped off by the local renault breakers . .

£50 for a sodding ECU!

this guy is the only renault breaker for miles around and he knows the score, he knows what bits accidently end up in the bottom of the tool box when all that is purchased is a bit of trim.

still he did give a 3 month gurantee with it . .

it's now fitted and working, take a drive to the 'private test track' later and see if she will top 120mph @ 6000 rpm now.

also when fitting the IK the other day i noticed a crack in the drivers side top mount on the strut, so was gonna change that out today as i have a couple of spares and lo and behold the fricking locking wheel nut adapter slips and fecks up the locking wheel nut.

£42 later and local tyre place has got all 4 lockers off and replaced with a shiny new set.

Not done the strut yet as i now have lost any motivation i had for the day.

oh also now got all my switch lights working!
now this is weird and confusing cos it was the cig lighter stopping them working, removed cig lighter cos its a bit dodgy to replace it and all the switch lights came on . .
plugged back in cig lighter and off they went.
left cig lighter unplugged for the mo whilst i work out where the short is.

i have a spare ECU you could have had. Sad

hehe cheers neal, no worries, just cracked the old one open to check for the superchip, its got one alright so weird how the car topped out at 120 mph and limiter kicked in at 6000 rpm, gonna investigate that at work.

that is if it is the ECU that was the prob, will find out later tonight when i take the car for a blat
