I think they were made in dieppe in the old gordini factory which now makes the shells for the clio challenge amongst other things. God i've got some crap stored in the little grey cells. |

nice motors.
Simon drove one to Edinburgh from Glasgo win under half an hour.
Apparently at 150mph they still feel stable. |

Iv got an article from "Performance car" Sept 1990 on it, some qoute's from it,
Early model's had the V6, but in 1985 it gained the Turbocharger and 200bhp,
Virtually all the panels are bonded to each other and to the chassis frames with a polyester based glue, there is no riviting or welding and the only structual bolts are used to reinforce the engine subframe to the firewall mount and the roll over cage mountings.
Got another mag where they put a GTA up against a Porsche 911 carrera cs,
GTA figure's, 200bhp @5750rpm, 214Ib @2500rpm, bhp per litre 81.4, wieght 2602Ib and 0-60 6.1
Porsche 911, 231bhp @ 5900rpm, 210ib @ 4800rpm, bhp per litre 73.1, wieght 2588Ib and 0-60 4.9
This is for the early model GTA but before production ended in 1992 (i think) there was the facelift model with pop up front lights, different alloys etc, and it had a bigger engine, but iv not got any mags on that one lol |
