Hi.
My Clio has become really bad with it's Mpg. 80 miles from £10 is good at the moment. Also whne driving the car fully warmed up, then i have to reverse I notice iniside the car smells of petrol.
I've smelt the exhaust gases and there is a deffo smell of petrol in the fumes although I don't know if that is normal. I have searched and here the CTS mentioned, although I don't know where it is
The coolant was pretty disgusting when it was changed a few months back so could probably do with a clean. I have a de-cat on the car so don't know if that maybe the problem although I don't think so.
And another thing, when I have my window open and going through a confined space i can hear a sort of pinking sound, sounds like it's from under the car
Anyways, car is a Mk1 1.4 RT. Any ideas would be great |

change the CTS. Its mounted on the side of the cylinder head near the distributor. Its got the rectanguler white one, the brown one is for the dash temp display.
If the coolant was brown then chances are the sensor may be corroded away to nothing. |
