. . yeah come buy my lovely motor that i spent £5000 on but now ragging to fuck around the forests cos i know i'm selling it . . . .
hehe
gold rims do look good on that but only cos of the cars colour.
I like the engine conversion too, £900 price tag could be a bit high for some ppl on here but you would prolly spend that getting an engine to that spec and with all the extra goodies on too. |

Mental note..
if ever getting a ph1 19v 16v..gold multi spoke alloys are a must.
with that blue
also what you going to ask him?
(im off out now, i shall reply later :)) |

muwhahahahahahaha false sense of a possible sale then I'm gonna make him/her sweat heres what I asked
Can you please tell me more about the engine? What series was it raced in? 200bhp, do you have any evidence to back this up? I have a 16V myself but its to slow and the bodyworks tatty I would like a faster one, 2 litres and 200bhp sounds like it would do the job! Are there any other modifications to the car? |

hmmmm it surely is possible to get 200bhp out of a 2 litre lump with all the other mods he claims has been done to the car thou?
my original Ph1 16v had a str8 thru exhaust, chipped, IK and had that rolling roaded @ 161bhp on the 1.8 engine |

i wish i still had all the paperwork for that car, it went to the new owner when i sold it
The ph2 i have at the mo when the superchip on that was 100% was tested at 144bhp (i still have paperwork for that)
Max Power 144 bhp @ 6985 Rpm
Max Torque 126lbft @ 4445 Rpm
that was with no other mods.
It now has a stainless steel back back (Magnex) and that IK (not expecting any increase thou with that)
back on the standard ECU at the mo but new chip about to be tested in it and a decat on the way. |

what was the power at the wheels?
For 144bhp on a 19 the wheel output should be between 120 - 130bhp
I laugh heartily when muppets say they have 150bhp then show me they have 95 bhp at the wheels.
A good standard one can put out nearly 130bhp at the wheels. Alexs ph2 hatch was pumping out 126bhp at the wheels at a rsc/cs rolling road day, he was oen of the highest, that was a totally stock car. |

now thats a good question, the graph does not show power at the wheels.
loads of other info like compression value per cylinder, oil temp, battery voltage, gas blast, ignition point, exhaust gas etc etc but lol nothing for power at the wheels.
i wonder if they will still have it on record . . . doubtful (reaches for the phone) |

hmmmm phone call revealed they dont have it on record, and apparently they dont give a power at the wheels reading because it is inconsistent.
Power at the flywheel is the accurate figure.
I asked him to give an educated guess at 144bhp @ the flywheel to power at the wheels and he said it would prolly be about 20hp less than the flywheeel figure so we at roughly 124 bhp @ the wheels |

power at the fly is indeed the accurate one, only way to measure it is to remove the engine and put it on an engine dyno.
Thats the only way it can be measured. |

well the old RS500 after I rebuilt the engine and so on we took it to the rollers and it said 530bhp, but after sorting it out to tame it a more reasonable 450bhp which was about 390 at the wheels was there.
The 460 ford racing lump I stuck in a stang would have been its closest match. |

Dear chris_h42,
You asked:
"Can you please tell me more about the engine? What series was it raced in? 200bhp, do you have any evidence to back this up? I have a 16V myself but its to slow and the bodyworks tatty I would like a faster one, 2 litres and 200bhp sounds like it would do the job! Are there any other modifications to the car?"
HI THERE! THIS ENGINE HAS NOT BEEN RACED. THE ENGINE CONVERSION WAS DONE BY HILL POWER, DOWN IN DERBYSHIRE. THIS 2 LITRE 16 VALVE ENGINE HAS A STAGE 2 HEAD, AND CAMS. THERE IS NEW JBL 6-9 ON PARCEL SHELF WITH ALPINE FRONT DOOR SPEAKERS WITH TWEETERS THERE IS ALSO PIONEER SPEAKERS IN DASH. I HAD NO PROOF THAT THE CAR DONE 200BHP+ SO I CONTACTED HILL POWER MYSELF AND THEY VERIFIED THAT FOR ME! FOR ANY QUERIES ON MODIFICATIONS TO THE CAR IT HAS BEEN STATED ON THE EBAY WEBSITE. THANKS ANGUS
lol wish I had seen it earlier and I could have taken the piss outta him more. |
