Right on close inspection of engine mounts last night, the one below the alt is proper buggered but I knew that.. which is ok becuase I know how to change that one. The gearbox mount, is that just the same 3 bolts into lump / 2 into subframe? |

They are also 2 nuts. Just hope you don't shear the studs taking the old mount off or a trip to ren for new nuts is on the cards. |

That don't bother me, just want the mounts re-newed. Forgot to have a proper look at the donut last night while I was at it. Right hand skirt is coming off tonight (hopefully) so I can hook it on properly |

the rear donut mount, contrary to popular belief is not a renault-only part. I got mine from eurocarparts, and apparently the megane mount is the same, it even had megane/19 on the packet.
The front 2 mounts have one stud a piece into the subframe. The RHS one has 2 studs which go into a plate, which bolts to the engine. The LHS one has 1 stud that goes into a plate which bolts to the gearbox
Renew them all. If ones shagged, theyre all probably shagged. |

Yes I know you can get the mounts from Motorfactors but they don’t last as long so I am going to get Renault ones. I have changed the cambelt side one that’s easy, just wasn’t sure about the box one. I hate the donut mount, and that will only be replaced if really really required… |

Theres a guy on RSC called 'Surefire' who offered me a brand new in the pack donut mount when i was doing mine. PM came through about 2 mins after i ordered mine from ECP :@
He might still have it... |

Yeah just spoken to Surefire and its not a Renault mount, plus if I don’t get one that’s an excuse not to do it… |
