My housemate has a P reg clio 1.2, he asked me to have a look at the exhaust as it was 'blowing slightly'. I went out with the gun gum ready to bodge it up, and found that the back box is only attached to the rest of it by a small bit of rusty metal. Shocked

so, he needs a new exhaust.

He took it to a garage (yeah i know) and they wanted £370 or something for a new system (and cat as well for some reason). I said tell them to f**k off.

Anyways, basically i need to get him a new exhaust system. Ill have another look but im sure the cat is fine.

How much does an exhaust system for a 1.2 clio cost roughly?

I'll have to have another look at it, but apparently he's had the middle section welded in the past so im assuming that the whole thing is pretty much buggered. So the whole system.

but i have to get it from glasgow to hatfield, that in itself will wipe out any financial benefit of doing it i expect.

If thats not the case then sure.

cool, id rather give you the money than the factors obviously.

But how much would it be from the factors roughly anyway, he wants a ball park figure?
