went to santa pod this bank holiday monday...wow!

i was totally impressed, so was the boy, although he was under the weather on the day so he didnt enjoy it as much as he cud of...

my god, what awesome machinery man can make Shocked

loads of pro whachamacallit s the ones that resemble real cars but with hooooge wheels etc,....and monstrous 12L v8s !!!! all running under 10 secs....

then theres the top fuellers..OMG is all i can say....the noise has to be heard to believe it...feck me!!! makes ur ears bleed! seriously, they hurt ur ears....but they are soo impressive....flames out the headers...everything....s/c belts lettin loose....5 sec runs....unbelievable!!!

and its great walkin round the stands as well...as they are all there tuning their motors ready for their runs....revin the engines!! feckin soooooo loud....the exhausts r nearly lifting the tents they are standing under! so impressed

then there were the show typ ethings....jet car! wow...a car with a jet engine....huge afterburner too....that just ripped up the tarmac!

jet quad...bit of a gimmick...didnt do much ...didnt run a 1/4 miler..just farted up and down doin nothin inparticuler...but impressive none the less...it was a brand new roll royce engine out of a sea king chopper that the guy used...he asked RR to add a afterburner to it but they refused...so he fitted his own....

another odd typ eof rocket bike....it was more like a steam engine on hydrogen peroxide....basically he started chemicals mixing together, and the reaction inside started building up the pressure....it was eriee quiet while he was doin this..no noise at all! then he gave the thumbs up and everyone did a 5 4 3 2 1 ...and he hit the button and WOOOSH!!! he was gone! ...a 5 sec run, bu they say his best is 3!!!!!!!!!!! 3 feckin secs 1/4 mile!

monster trucks too.....gotta love em....didnt see much of them tho...impressive as they were when u heard a beast of a top fueler doin a burnout, every one ust turned their backs on the monster trucks,....but the are still cool...their engines are pretty much top fuel effort....

just a good long day of inhaling noxious fumes really....

here are some pics and vids i took...the vids are shit really...done on the phone and cant see what it is and the noise just does NOT do it justice at alll.....still u get the idea of how rapid some of them were...

That hair bleach bike is cool, can't see it but by fuck is it fast!
