you swap the rubber and felt bit over to the new one.

The old pipes are copper.

triple electrode plugs are crap. You should have asked for clio 16V plugs (twin electrode) or best of all got single electrode plugs.

The halfords paint match paint is quite good I have to say.

halfords 449 is shite, too dark, more than can be put down to time fading.

Went to the local paint factors instead and they had a number of different variations on 449, they took the pad of samples out to the car and matched it exactly. Got a bigger can for less money as well.

i did swap the rubber and plastic bits on to the new one chris (as in the first pic ) what i cant understand is that why is the old matrix wider than the new one ???? is the new one circulating less water thus less heat ?????

i asked for r16 16v plugs and thats what they gave ,but i never fitted them on the car so i can change them ,no probs

here is the halfords spray ,i dont like the nozzle bit ,its not to easiest thing to use really

sprayed this stuff on some paper to check the match with a broken piece of mirror cover ,seems to be fine but not perfect .

i will spray the mirrors with this ,as the drivers side cover is broken so i will have to stick the insides of that mirror into a blue 16v mirror cover after spraying the blue cover in tungy , bahhh

Matrixs thickness matters not my man, it'll be fine.

The single electrode NGK plug number is on the site somewhere.

Why is this?? I don't understand why 3 electrode plugs would be any worse than a 2 or 1 electrode plug?

I put Bosch Super 4's in mine yesterday. Are they crap as well?

I understand now.

He's correct, they cost me a fortune.

£20 for the super 4's, £39 for the Bosch leads, and for good measure I got a cam belt kit today and that cost me £87 from the factors!

The bloody energy never cost that much Crying or Very sad Laughing

if you remove them and fit decent single electrode NGK's then it will be even better.

Soneji had them in his clio rt and I threw them over the railway line, fitted some of my old NGK's and it idled better and pulled much better and the NGK's had already done 20k in my engine!

so whats the magic of this single electrode ngk s than chris ????
it does not make sense as you would expect 3 electrodes to burn the fuel better not one .
can u explain this to me ,cause as far as i know ,bosch is not a crap make at all

well it wont spark across all 3 electrodes at once will it. The only benefit of more than one electrode is that they last a bit longer, as one electrode wears down from sparking, the others become a better option for the spark to jump to. Course, the rest of the spark plug still beaks down at the same rate. They exist because marketing and lack of understanding means they will sell.
