a while a go i was saying my indicators were not working along a few other things ,like the trip comp ,digi clock ,electric mirrors

yesterday i made a discovery all by chance , when ur hazard light switch is disconnected from the wiring plug YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO INDICATE LEFT OR RIGHT USING THE INDICATOR STALK ,
thats the reason my indicators were not working ,
small step for me but a big one for the mankind hehehe Laughing

i hope the rest can be solved as easy as this Rolling Eyes

it has been mentioned, normally it happens after people try and change the bulb in the switch

the metal contacts inside bend easily and never go back right

yeah thats what i was doing actually and you are right i could not get the bulb working either yet, any tips on that one than ?

the bulb is soldered in and unless your very small and can fit inside its not gonna get changed!

The terminals can't even be pushed out as the plastic is stamped over them.

soldering gun would be the best way to do it

you mean a second hand one ?

i have just checked the insides of the one on the ph1 ,the connections from the bulb are placed underneath the plate and the bulb is much bigger than the one i have seen on the one of the ph2
i think ph2 one is a diy job

Had this prob and borke the hinge. You can get the bulbs out though.

im sure ive changed bulbs before...cant remember, but u can just ass easily get a new (and yes i mean second hand) switch and prise the covers off...unless of course it is already te right cover Smile

where did anyone dispute changing bulbs int he switches? I do it all the time.

But you can't change the hazard switch bulb.

I did change the hazard light switch bulb, but it wasn't bright enough so I need to do it again. It is fiddly but possible. Laughing

Chris, where do you get bulbs from? I'm having problems finding them!

how did you do it? the original bulb is stamped onto the contacts, I can't even get a finger into it.

How did you attach the bulb?

Mine just slid out. Although it was obviously pointless as the hinge had broken. I only took mine out for a nosy.

Had to use a mega small screwdriver IIRC.

I get the bulbs from the factor about 5p each.

maybe the ph2 switch is different from the ph1 switch but you cannot get the bulb out without breaking off its legs and theres no way you can solder in a new one.

the rest are easy as they just pop in and out

right, its a bitch to get at yes, but i reckon if i wanted to replace the bulb badly enough, i could do it, albeit after much swearing and frustration.
