Hi guys. Lowered my R5 down on some Spax fully adjustable shocks. 35mm drop on front one notch (50mm) on back.
The front camber is quite deep now, and the tyres are squealing like bitches. What do i do to stop this?!?! Im sure these shocks are the right ones too!

you've got to much camber prob around 2 1/2 deg's of -ve camber. I would guess you gtt front struts and it aint a gtt. if that is the case get the gtt top mounts. this should give you around 1 deg -ve camber and get the toe checked. |

GTT top mounts will only increase the camber. |

Folks, i pointed him in the direction of this site and mentioned the GTT shock issue as it's not a turbo hes got. Apparently he is using Phase 1 GTT shocks but says it shouldn't cause problems as non turbos share the same suspension turret as phase 1's... |

no its the angle at the bottom of the strut mate if you compare a standard strut and gtt strut there's more angle on the bottom mounts don't know why. hence you have to use gtt top mounts, sounds stupid I know but without gtt you get 2 1/2 deg -ve camber and the top mounts do sit differently in the turret. |

Anyone want to buy a set of well-restored used GTT PHASE 2 shock absorbers.
Some egit sold me them saying they were phase one! Muggins here believed him, restored them upto pristine condition, and fitted them - wondering why the camber was way out.
Now im looking to buy a new set of phase ones. GASH!
