ive got 180000 nearly on my E6J apart from some tappet rattle seems ok although never go over 80 mph with oil changes every year may try 10/40 if have to. my hrw not working checked for power at spades dead changed switch relay clicking ok any ideas where wire may be broke i have contacts above rear bumper my mates prima 2 dosent wheres rth diff.? |

you never go above 80mph? whats the point, I was chasing soneji at 120 in mine at 205k! Although after the valve springs were changed it would bnnever rev beyond 7500rpm.
Anyway the switch plate is ont he ph1's and the ph2's have the wires at the top of the tailgate.
The ph1 is better as theres no flexing wires that crack.
Clean up the contact plate and also check for power at it when the hrw switch is on.
Also make sure the terminal hasn't broken off the screen as its quite common. |
