 1.2 Renault 19!

Sat in traffic yesterday and a green L plate Renault 19 RN passes me. I look at the back and it has a sticker (where the 16v badge would be) that says Storia or something like that. I thought it was just a dealers badge or something.

Get along the drivers side and look at the badge - it says 1.2! That aint going nowhere quick!

I knew there was a handful of 1.2's just as there is a handful of 3dr 1.4's but this is the first time i've seen one!

Really? It states in the Haynes manual that some were fitted with a 1.2 but I was always doubtful about whether they actually existed or not!

Mystery solved it would seem.

as far as I know there were only ph1 1.2's and they were fitted with the c-type lump and I have yet to actually drive/work on one/find in a scrappy!

My 1.4e RN is labelled 1390cc, 57kw and 77,5hp on the registration...
And it has E7J. Is this just the matter of "5% error marking" ? Smile

the ph1 1.4 energy has 80 bhp the ph2's had between 73 and 75 bhp due to fueling and CAT
