Yeah, its called the Fairlady in Japan, but in the UK its called the 300zx, so if you see a Fairlady on the road then its an import, there's also tons of other tell tale signs between the UK and Jap spec,

The 300zxtt stopped in the UK in 1994 due to car insurance going through the roof, plus the change in the emissions getting stricter, but they kept on making it in Japan up untill 2000, so you could get a 5 year old one as an import.

Valver fits all those criteria if you look after it and cruise on the motorway for fuel economy LOL

That Primera I think is only 140 bhp Addie. I have the phase 1, 150 bhp red top engine. It's as quick as the 19 16v if not faster top end but slower off the mark. handling on the phase 1 primera is also different/sportier and much better to that lard arse one, as it was derived to enter the touring cars. The later ones got heavier and more refined. mine is a better day to day car than the 19 (never needs work doing) and handles well on 17's, on stock wheels they understeer, however is not as much of a drivers car as the 19 16v.. Also where the Nissan is a tourer my 19 16v is more raw. sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

That model is 150bhp also, its the "facelift" model that is 140 as far as I can gather.

I stand corrected Addie. Embarassed You are right is the phase 3 that is 140 bhp. As roddy21t says, check (car survey site) that way you get to see real everyday people's views. Nissan did do several variants of the 2ltr 16v from around 125bhp to the 150bhp red top engine. They are not as raw as the 19 16v, in that they are more refined. That one has 0-60 of 8.9 seconds and does 136mph. The only problem's i've heard of are rattling trim, exhaust gaskett's, and rarely, blocked oil passages.

Sorry couldn't be of more help.
