Fuel prices are a joke considering that the majority of the price is tax.

It wouldnt bother me so much if the roads i drive on were half decent. I pay extortionate road tax, have stupid speed cameras all over whose only purpose is to rape me of more £££, and then crazy fuel tax on top of all that, just to drive on potholed, half finished roads that a lot of the time amount to little more than a dirt track. Dont know where the tax money goes, its definitely not spent on the roads. Probably gets spent on buying some gypsies Sky TV, or free health care for illegal immigrants.

The argument that it is to try and dissuade people from using their cars and to get on public transport instead is lunacy. I have to get to work, i cant do it by public transport because it is unreliable, slow, cramped, dirty, etc., so what good is beating me around the head with excessive fuel tax going to do? I still have to get to work, it just means i'm worse off, maybe eventually i will just quit and sign on instead. Nice one 'Two Jags'.

The funniest thing about it all, is that despite all the tax, it is STILL cheaper to just drive anywhere than use public transport... explain that one to me!

I just put some petrol in the Cordy at 83.9 and Diesel in the S40 at 85.9.

If I go to Sainsburys I get get it for 80.9 cos I they have 3p off a litre if you spend so much, but I used to work in the petrol station so they ring it through for me anyway Wink

Still damn expensive Sad
