quick indicator question

I managed to smash a lens off one of the chammy's indicators today, theres a few on ebay, but theyre all listed as for the phase 1.

So the question is, are the indicators for the phase 1 the same as the indicators for the phase 2 (in terms of shape, plugs,etc...)? From the ebay pictures, it looks like the lens is slightly different, but i can live with that, ill just get a pair.

Unless anyone has a spare phase 2 passenger side indicator they would like to donate... Wink

ahhh good question neal . . well i bought 2 from ebay both lucas and well . . they dont fit lol

i got the passenger side one on, but it dont look right, it kinda juts out a bit and is not flush with the headlight.
the drivers side one would not fit at all !

the 2 off the scrap hatch i gave to JB and his ones i threw away cos they were tatty. Would have done the job in the meantime though.

Looks like ill be off down the scrappies for one then, not something i can conceal in my pocket while i pay for a dash switch either.

u can see one of them in the pics i put in my progress report for the springs (passenger side) looks nice and clean but just does not look right, so its coming out and the old one going back in tomorrow.

i'll see if they fit the ph1 better.

just seen this neal . i saved an indicator of the white 16v (abandoned ) but bugger me i cant remember what side it was for Rolling Eyes

and i cant find out till i get back but i have a funy feeling that i might just be able to buy the lens bit for you from here .will check that before the auction ends

u snapped the spring or the retainer on the lens unit ?

i have a spare spring u can have.

i can give you a tip on how to fix it as i have done it once too Wink

drill another hole on the plastic and stick the spring through if its the plastic bit you snapped not the spring though .
but as i said you can have it when i get back

ive got the spring, its the stupid pathetically thin bit of plastic on the back of the indicator that it hooks through thats busted off Evil or Very Mad

might as well just try and get this pair off ebay, its sorted in one go then.

hehe its quite ironic, my ph1 has ph2 indicators and my ph2 has ph1 indicators . . .
