I've had a few leaks on my 19 lately from one of the petrol pipe where it goes onto the engine. Me being me, i simply cut the pipe down and joined on a new section of pipe. Im guessing though that the whole pipe is probably weak, so thought i should maybe replace the petrol pipes. I can see 2 pipes coming from the engine, going down towards the bottom of the bulk head. So, where do these pipes go to, roughly how much are they, and how easy are they to change? Are there any others which would be worth checking?

pipes are 80 ish quid for about 3 feet.

Unless you get stadard off the reel gear which you will need to shape.

And i need two of those Chris, yeah?

Is off the reel pipe easy to get into the shape? Or can you just cable tie it everywhere to keep it right?

Sounds more expenisve than i was hoping! Do the pipes usually perish then?

80 quid for a straight swap for botht he pipes.

off a reel it'll be abotu a tenner. Bend it to shape and wrap tape tight aroudn it shoudl shape it roughly right though.

Cheers Chris, i knew i'd get the answers from you........

So where abouts do the pipes go to? If they're about 3ft as you said, i guess they end somewhere around the bulk head at the bottom? Are they easy to get to from under the car?

The pipes connect just after the front jack point on the drivers side. Only cost me £10 for the new pipes off the reel and once you get the clips undone it's an easy job. May need new hose clips as the ones under the car get really shitty.

ONly need about 5 feet of pipe for each side.

Just phoned up local Renault dealer just to check the pipe prices, apparantly they're only £12 and £19 something each. He's sure they're the right ones, so they're ordering them in for me...... be happy with that if they are the right pipes for that money
