Right, I have spoken to a Gent on CS, namely bondy. He can supply brand new Kent Cams and Pullies for £250, which is rather cheap. I enquired about a discount for a group buy for Retro Renault Members, and while he could not lower the price anymore (Understandable) he offered to throw in a free Cam Belt with every kit ordered from RR. In order for him to be able to do this he requires at least four members to be interested.
So if any of you are interested in the deal please say below and if we get four members I will go back and speak to him.
Cheers

Only other information I have stan is "Fast Road Spec 254 degrees very mild ". Aparently he saw 151bhp with cams and chip only. Thats his word however. |

i run these cams. 254degree 10.04mm lift inlet, 9.2mm lift exhasut. on a 1.8 with zorst and decat, it gave me 147bhp without the pullies. it was 21bhp clear of the majority of 1.8's at the rr day. similar power delivery as standard, jsut that it keeps pulling harder, the higher u rev it.

Worth the cash then jimbo?
I swear my car knows when I've got cash lying in the bank not doing anything! Still, the missus wouldn't mind this as much as the turbo conversion so maybe this is the safer option
George, you got msn/icq? (i tend to use icq out of habit, still not a fan of msn but have to use it sometimes). |

Got the exhaust, would need a decat tho. Also woudl it really need chipping or will the standard ECU do the job?
How easy would this be to do (am limited by tools and space)? Do you need to change anything else at the same time, tappets/lifters/followers? |

Can't change hydrolic [sp] tapits. They will run off std ECU but getting them timed wouldn't be a bad idea. |

they'll run just fine.
timing them up proper will just squeeze a couple more bhp if your after every ounce, but u got to pay another hundred or so for the verniers to get that...not exactly good bhp per pound! |

They are Kent Pullies, Kent re-ground cams and a new cambelt. £250 is a good price. |
