anyone else have an irrational fear of them like me??

fuckin hate them...

had to go this morning...i havent been for about 4-5 years and i am in need of a filling....so went this mornin to have it looked at...need to go back tomoz for the job...bloody hate it. also need a few old ones redoing....

plus i am not nhs registered anymore so i have to go to a private one...its gunna cost me a small fortune Sad

paying sht loads of money for pain and torture!

i would have that if it was viable...much rather it all done while im asleep....

but cos i got to go private, i get video goggles to watch tv on while they do it Cool

also she showed me my teeth on a tv with a little camera in my mouth!! funky.....but she could be topless serving me beer and giving me a blowjob at the same time....it wont stop it being a painfull horrible experience!!! Evil or Very Mad

that sounds good to me! never heard of that before....

i remember when i was young bein put to sleep with gas....boy did i put up a fight....dad had to hold me down and the dentist tryin to get the thing overmy mouth... Very Happy

I used to love the gas.

then they styarted jagging me with the needle.

every time it would be about half an hour after leaving the dentists that it finally went numb.

I always felt everything, gettign the nerve poked by the drill feckign hurts btw

LMAO it is good ring your dentists and explain ur frightened and ask for sedation,
they wont do it if u just turn up i know mine doesnt as they have certain days for sedation.

only kids get gas as far as I know

yeah i have that chris.....the injection just never seems to do anything forme and the drill just hurts....all the time....maybe this time will be better....i get the feeling dentists dont like nhs patients so they just want to get em done and out the door quickly so they can get the private ppl in and make more money...

i need to go to dentist, as i have a hole in my tooth..

50% of the time its fine..

and the other 50% it facking hurts like buggery..like a slow dull pain.

plus i get food stuck in it :(

i hate dentists Evil or Very Mad

and personally i prefer a tooth to be taken out rather than being filled ,less stressfull process Rolling Eyes

thats why im goin roger...it wont get better mate...and the sooner u go sort it the less work it will be....the longer u leave it the bigger the hole...the closer to the nerve it gets....go get it sorted....but i know how u feel its only cos its got to a point where i cant chew on it....cold water and air just fuckin wrecks it....needs sorting...

and of course being private...they found a load of other things to sort...gunna cost me over 500 quid!!!!

how did yours get a hole?

i was running my toung along my teeth and it felt rough..

put my finger in and pulled outlittle bits of tooth..

about 4-5 bits..

then BAM! pain..

i need to get it dont i know, but i hate dentists

I have a completely rational fear of Dentists!

When I was about 8 I had to have a tooth taken out, it was the first time I'd needed anything other than a check up, and this old geezer (who incidentally had been my Mum's dentist when she was my age) gave me the jag, turned round put the syringe down and picked up the pliers turned back and took it out! Mum's standing there saying "but it couldn't have hurt" while I'm screaming the place down! She took me round the corner to wimpy as a treat and when I finally said "my mouth feels funny" with coke dribbling down my chin she went white as a sheet and said "oh my god"! I still hold it over her to this day!

Hence, to this day I have real issues going to into a dentist surgery and have two broken teeth and a filling that needs redone (keep getting an abcess under it) at the moment, been waiting for two years for an NHS dentist coz I can't afford a private one! Still haven't found one that will knock me out tho'!

roger...yeah mine started off small..but then chewing on it etc break bits off so it gets bigger...then its a downward slope from there....

lyndsey i know how u feel...i always think they rush it....never give the injection time to work....i hope this one today gives it time....i think im getting the dreaded scale and polish too...i havent had that before but iver heard it is uncomfortable....
