Friggin car broke last night on the way home from work, temp guage looking rather high so I got out to check before hitting traffic.. Water pissing everywhere! Made a nice antrifreeze slick. Anyway, nabbed a lift home and abandoned the car. Went back later with the 16v and called the AA, some 90 odd minutes later, he arrived 
He put some water in and it poured out almost as fast as it went in  Leaking from somewhere near the water pump, ended up being dragged home....should be fun fixing that! Got some about 10pm instead of 6.

prolly the water pump itself by the sounds of it...when they go they just let it all out like that....ah well...at least u stopped it and didnt keep driving it...
this was in the td was it? |

Aye, TD . Ill have the alternator off on the weekend so I can have a better look. Core plug? Could be an easy fix then.... dont fancy replacing the water pump, that difficult? |

aye pumps easier than the core plug. But the core plug isn't exactly unheard of!
get the drivers wheel off and the arch liner and get someone to pour water in whilst you look for where its leaking.
Core plug will also more than likey mean camblet removel unless youi cut through the cover.
