 Aux belt tensioning

Right well ive found out thwat thw hine on my 172 is, the aux belt, its as loose as a loose thing! i can move it around 1 1/2 inches inbetween the bottom pulley and the air con pulley. so, how and where do i tension it, all i can see is the spring, so weather its new belt time(which i hope not!) beacause its self tensioning?if it is?

i would look up on dialogies but my laptop is still in for repair! Mad

oh vehicle code is CB1C and engine code is F4R, with air con, pas, etc etc

its self tensioneing, didn;t even need dialogies, same as the megane set up, for a pic look in chr's megane project.

Slightly off-topic but what does the 'R' mean in CHR? Racing?

Pretty self evident what the C and H stand for!

if its shiny then aye, but theres also an idler and the tensioner, if these play up replace them.
