 Is there a power difference

i have a renault 19 1.8 RSI and im doing and engine rebuild for it because of its high milage, the engine iv got is out of a clio 1.8 RSI, is the power the same as the engine in my car and has the clio gearbox got a different gear ratio.

Engine =same, unless one is MPI and the other SPI

SPI is 95 and the MPI is 113 bhp ,i believe

box will have different ratios I would imagine.

Easy way to check is look at the tag on the box, if the number is the same then its the same.

some twat has ripped it off so there is no way of being able to tell, so do you think i would be better off using the old box then
