This might sound like a silly question, but can somebody please tell me (with as much detail as possible) where to locate a trolley jack when raising the front of a phase 1 chamade valver.
Also where to locate axle stands. Haynes manual is crap for this and I just had my car slip off the trolley jack 'head' nearly crushing my leg.
I had tried to jack it using a trolley jack by the reinforced point where the road jack locates. Was this a bad move?
Cheers for any help. |

If you are using trolly jack try and jack it up via wishbones or chasis rail. If you are using the OE jack there are slots in the sill for this.
Place axle stands under the chasis rail. |

don't jack under the wishbone.
Where the stock ren jack goes use a block of wood to fit in the channel then jack that.
Theres an iron block on the front of the subframe, thats supposed to be there to raise the front end, although you need to either raise the jack on a slab etc or have a high lift jack. |
