Hi, sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section, or if it has been posted before Sad I took my Laguna for it's Mot test today , what is going on with all this computer business, The queue was about 4 cars long and I a had to wait over one hour and a half before the could get the computer on line !!!! Have I been uncouncious or something but when did the powers that be sneak this in ?

Anyway my car failed on rear break compensator seizure, quite pequliar really as it failed on this last year , same garage, is it easy to rectifiy ? Wd40 , I was also told that If remove the car I am responsable for half the test fee ! but if I let them do the work then they would waver that , bring it in tommorrow and we will sort it for , a kings ransom , oh it also faile on the middle exhaust section slightly blowing but it sailed throught the emissions ?/// Renault enthusiast dissapointed now leaving the building what is the country -***&5"£ become

Ps sorry if I went on a bit ,it must be me age Smile

its been talked about for a good while. Its basically to stop dodgy mot's. The system isn;t up and runnign properly yet, but all stations within the next year shoudl have it.

For the old stations without roller testers etc they will either have to upgrade or close down.

Yes this countries away to crap, like I tell everyone else leave get out, you would be daft to want to stay in this country.

Bit of wd-40 hammer action then smear it over with copper grease should see it sorted, the copper grease should stop it from seizing as well.

Where is the mid section blowing?

On my sisters it was where the mid section meets the backbox, it looked fine, didn't blow all the time but if you kicked the box it swivelled, all that was needed was the clamp done up a bit.

You are entitled to a free re-test within a working day of the failure, decent places give you 2 weeks though.

Sort it yourself it will still be cheaper even if you have to pay the re-test fee.

apparently there bringing in smart cards aswell, basically its stuck in, if the car fails, the card stays in for an hour, if its not a pass with in the hr, then it has to be paid in full for anoher test.
