A true retro renault?

What are peoples views of them, compared to the R19 / R5 etc?

Did it have the same engine as the R5? Did it run along side the 21?

a 5 with a boot, better looking, better handling and a faster top end buit not as quick to 60 as the 5.

I missed out on a free one a few years back, gutted.

We need a GTT engined car on board.

My dad used to have a Renault 9 Turbo, He took it out for a test drive from the garage a few years back before he bought it, took it down some country roads and with the salesman in the passenger realised he was about to go over a humpback bridge at 60mph!!!!

My dads 6ft 3 so when they did take off he smacked his head on the roof and the salesman was left gripping the seat with white knuckles!!!!

Luckily no damage to the car!!! The thing was that a few weeks later he was on the same road and forgot about the bridge and did the same thing all over again!!!!

MY DAD: WHAT A MUPPET!

if you don't take off in a car regularly your gay.

Although my energy didn't liek its 10foot high landing, scored the subframe and the down pipe from the landing but it was fine.

I know, but George can actually say on taking off in his clio he cracked the screen properly.

Looked liek crazy paving from his 'wee' jump.

Can almost get air on the road to work, usually I hit it at 70, topping the suspension out and throwing my sub round the boot.....must go faster.

well seein as my car is my pride and joy i dont feel the need to trash it goin over jumps....

but there is an excellent spot near me out in the sticks a bit...big long straight...downhill....then about 3 bumps in a row each possible to get air off...if u hit them about 50/60 u nearly get air...so if u hammer it u will fly!!!....

when you go along the A6 just as you come past garstang theres a nice big hill there with a hump at the top then it goes back down hill, if the traffic lights are on green and you time it right you can get some big air. I went over in my old 21, took off, landed and the boot popped open!

Oh and if you try watch out for the gatco speed camera at the bottom Smile

JB why would you trash a car by jumping it?

if you jump it right then you barely notice you leave the ground.

my 19 on std suspension as im sure u know is rock...driving off a kerb makes me cringe...and the potholes in swansea are ridiculous...i have many a buckle in my alloys cos of them....

so going more than a kerbs height in the air i do not fancy!

less damage to a wheel when its dropped from a fgreater height at speed.

But you will have to drive at 30mph in scotland to avoid jumping.
