Check this out...
Hit a lampost and sign at 50 when kicking out sideways!
I'm lucky to walk away and my partner's seatbelt didnt work so she hit the windscreen, she is fine but both are a bit shocked!
The dampers on the car blew so as I breaked at a roundabout at the end of a dual carriageway we just skidded sideways and SMASH!!!!!

Have pics if anyone wants them... just ask!
They wont fit on the site.

found out about the dampers 2 days before because the tread on one of the front tyres was worn away to the steel on the inside,
wouldnt have even known about that unless my girl (jess) had bought me some nice green underlights...
thank god she did or we would have had a blow out aswell!

yeah some nice green neons, i was doing a really good job of blinging up the car, gold alloys, vynl, blue paint job, good ice, arch lights and the underlights would have been the final touch,
im gutted

You have to keep it on the road mate.

Better to put money into dampers tyres and running gear than silly flashing lights.

Think about the wet-wear to trotter link, these are fast cars.

Good to hear there were no serious injurys.

But

well we'd already bought the lights and didnt know about the dampers so not as if we chose lights instead of shocks...

it's the poor lamp post i feel sorry for, i mean come on!
there it is, standing there all innocent like when this mad R19 driver comes hurtling into it without so much as a by your leave . . .

Arch Lights and Neons - thank God the car got wrote off before that happened to it, fate worse than being written off that is.

on a more light hearted note, glad to hear the pair of you are ok Smile

Have you had any internal whiplash pain's. ? I did for about a week. Found it hard to breathe at times. Mine was into a traffic light at around the same speed. The car came two a full stop into about one foot in length

yeah sounds like pretty much the same sort of crash, do you know what caused it?

i've had bad chest pains when i sneeze and cough and things since but i dont like the nhs, itll heal on its own lol! only had a bit of a graze on my arm apart from that, feel very lucky really,
jess had lots of glass to pick out of her head, she did most of it at the roadside and then i got the rest out when we got home, she also cut a lot of her hair on the glass so shes a bit self-conscious about it at the moment, she has a short spikey bit at the front but the rest of her hair is really long and wavy, bit of a contrast...
ambulance said we didnt need to go to the hospital,

I lost it doing around 70-80 mph on a bend. just before the light's. I only just fitted the 17's with new tyre's. and only done 23 mile's 'on them.
