I get her a different car to learn in and she still has trouble with the steering Rolling Eyes

Is it posible to raid the scrappy and fit the powersteering systems from a higher spec car to the poverty spec RL she's got? (assuming pump and rack is al that's needed?)

Cheers

That's what i'm interested in, is it the same block for the engines? Meaning the mounting holes are the same?

They use the same block for cars with and without power steering.

That would say to me that they are the same and would have the same mounting holes. You would still have to get the pump, rack, mounting bracket and the extra pullie (to run the belt) from the scrapies but it's doable.

exactly, go down. get rack, pipes, pump, bottom pulley and steering column and stick em in. Needs to be from another 1.4 though.

Also make sure the tyres are pumped up and that you don't have a sticky lower balljouint or anything.

lower balljoint on my mums red one, passed my eyes and the mot test it was only when I took it off I realised it was nearly seized solid, steering was very light after that.
