Will be out and about in a van today whereby when the engine is off, the only way i can listen to the radio is with the ignition ON. There is no 'mid-way' between off and ignition like the 19 (and other cars im sure).

So what i'd like to know is, what damaged would be done (if any and besides a flattened battery) if i turn the ignition on and leave it on even after the relay has stopped heating the plugs?

Cheers

If its anything like the 19 then It will shut the plugs off after a few seconds and when the engine is started it keeps them at half power, not sure if its x number of seconds on, x number of a seconds off. Or somthing similar to that. Cant see see much damage being done, only to the glow plugs themselves.

Is it the blue ish transit your driving? If so....I wouldn't worry Razz

don't worry its a diesel and a van and not yours.

plugs will turn themselves off after a few seconds.

btw it should have a mid way point for the radio, all transits I have driven did!
