all electric sunroofs are interchanageable.
should open fine on a battery if you bypass the switch etc. runs through a bright red relay. |

If you go to the "members projects" section of this site and look for "R21t, late ph2" you will see photo's and a discription of when i replaced my complete sunroof assembly on my R21t, the sunroof i replaced it from was a R19, all i had to do was swap over the base plate's, you wont need to mess about swapping the base plates over so ignore that bits.
most R19's have a tilt AND slide sunroof so look for one thats got that, just remember to take the control panel from the car you get the sunroof from as you will need the tilt and slide switch aswell, the 2 different sunroofs are interchangable so you wont have any problems.
as for swapping them over the only real pain is taking the trim off, but actually swapping the sunroof itself is sooo simply, you wont even need to swap base plates, its just a case of undoing the 6 bolts (2 front, 2 middle and 2 rear of the base plate ...if i remember right) and then putting your new one on and plugging it all back up ...simply,
you may find that the piece of cardbaord that is stuck to the inside of the roof has fallen down and it then jams in the sunroof pulleys, so when you put your sunroof back its being forced against the cardboard and something has to give 1st, and its always the sunroof pulleys
i paid £20 for mine so £25 seems ok
the whole job took me about 4 hours to do. |

i have still yet to see a broken sunroof from the card falling, it just stops.
If you keep your finger on it the relay clicks off.
if the cards not firmly stuck just take it off, I always do. |

green tint?
I have only ever seen the gold and silver tints!
Anyway the soldering of the HRW contact seldopm work, its a pain in the arse.
Is it a ph1? If so when the boots open you have no power supplied to the tailgate, that comes through the plate at the base of the hatch. |

surely you want to keep the original phase 1 GTSX glass if you can.
When its the last one left and its the most collectable car in the world, that phase 2 glass might knock a few grand off your asking price? |
